Mindovermaster Moderator Posted November 29, 2014 Moderator Share Posted November 29, 2014 I have a stack of 5 spare PSU's. I'm not 100% sure if they are all good or not... Silencer 610 EPS12V Seasonic SS-500GM Active PFC F3 <-take this to be good. It is 90% modular, tho. OCZ-450 12U <-again, 90% modular EPower EP-450XP P2B <- think I took this off an older system. Not sure as to its quality. Antec Earthwatts EA-380 <-take this to be good. I take it for the Antec and Seasonic to be good, but unsure about the others.
CrashG
Testing them all is the only to know for sure.
Mindovermaster Moderator Posted November 29, 2014 Author Moderator Share Posted November 29, 2014 I'd need a multimeter, then... Edit: Welcome back, Crash :P
Sikh
Antec and seasonic for sure are good. These brands I've never experienced s problem with. OCZ I would be "eh" about and definitely test it in a system 24 hours and not believe a multimeter. The other two I would throw away. No brand / crap brand plus age it's not worth testing and then later finding out they were crap when they take other parts with them.
Mindovermaster Moderator Posted November 29, 2014 Author Moderator Share Posted November 29, 2014 Well, the OCZ might work on one system, where the other might not. Just sell it at a rummage sale, see how much I can get for it, lol
