Xbox One without WIFI

Will the Xbox One function if the WIFI board is removed (controllers connected via Charge  and Play, Internet via Ethernet cable)?

I would have thought it would throw an error in some cases...? Why would you want to remove the WiFi board?

Prolly bought it dirt cheap for the problems it has....

 

as for the ethernet thing you could turn it back into wireless in a way with a bridge.

No need to remove the WIFI board...  just plug Ethernet cable in. You are on wired connection.

 

Or you can get original Xbox 360 that does not have WIFI built-in.

I went ahead and removed the WIFI board and everything still works when wired up.

 

Hooking up an Ethernet cable for Internet and Play and Charge for the controllers does not turn off WIFI completely. Removing the board does.
