New and looking for resources.

Question

I am looking into getting into web development and have been looking into bloc.io for some more immersive training. Lack of prior experience and a framework to learn from has made learning on my own difficult, which is my reason for looking into some of these bootcamps. I was hoping someone either had experience with some of these or could off advice as to what they believe is a better alternative to these bootcamps.

Thanks in advance!

Start by following tutorials for simple things and then continue on to more complex tutorials.

What kind of experience do you already have? None? server side programming or other types of programming? Html/css/js experience?

For a complete and simple overview of css I suggest: http://css-tricks.com/almanac/ it has a nice selector and property overview. Also check the snippets part to prevent reinventing the wheel.

I have done a little bit of work in bash and batch files, but nothing too intensive. As far as web stuff goes, my only expose has been codeacademy tutorials and some of the content with w3schools. I'll be sure to look at the link you posted as well!

Whatever tutorials you use to learn, always keep MDN bookmarked. It's one of the best resources for web programming.
