benjamine6
Just after christmas, I built this new computer. My gaming computer. But a few days ago, It started freezing and stopping and hanging and crap. It can't be a virus, Because i already did a clean install of WIN10 9926. And everything is in its proper place. The only thing that is NOT new of the computer is the fact that the hard drive came from my HP computer. Which the HP computer's motherboard crapped out as i was hooking up the new gig. But one creepy thing is that... The CPU was fried for like a couple of MONTHS on the HP before it crapped out. Which means it was still WORKING for those months with a fried CPU! Now, when i found THAT out, i asked myself. How was that even possible? Anyway, I'm thinking the small chance COULD be the hard drive. But i'm not putting my foot down on it. I don't have any spare hard drives. So i don't want to go buying one that ends up not working. Can someone help me determine what the hell is going on? ~Thanks, Benjamine6

It's probably your drive.
xendrome
It's obviously the drive HD Tune is telling you that above.

Riggers
Just wondered if you`d looked in "Event Viewer" for any clues when these problems occur? Right click the start button -> Event Viewer -> Windows Logs - System. Have a browse through and make a note of any that say "error". Also try right clicking the disc -> Properties -> Tools -> Check. Can you hear any bad noises coming from the hard drive, like a clicking or grating sound? p.s. Windows 10 is still pretty much a Beta OS so probably not the best thing for making fault diagnosis on (it could just be your system). Why not just reload whatever was on before cleanly or try booting from a live cd to see if the problem persists...
