Elliot B.
At the moment, our website is custom-built and shows what products we sell, along with prices. It's similar to http://skidmore4wd.com/ However, our website is getting dated, it's hard to update and there is no mobile version. Can anyone suggest software/a platform we could use? We won't need it to be a shop, just a website displaying our products in categories. Since we're a business, we're happy to pay if it's worth it. #Michael
Just an fyi...you need a mobile site. Remember that Google is changing their search algorithm and is now favoring sites that have a mobile version.

+Zagadka Subscriber² Posted April 21, 2015 Subscriber² Share Posted April 21, 2015 If you're not going to do a lot of updates and display a static display of items, I would avoid any automated CMS system for security. That generally means either coding by hand or with a WYSIWYG editor.
Dick Montage
While in 2015 I feel any site should be dynamic - there's a strong argument for hard-coded pages IF you are not likely to update frequently. Obviously use includes and so on. MikeChipshop 1 Share
simss
I can recommend Adobe Muse, if you are willing to pay monthly subscription. It

Obviously use includes and so on. Dynamic is good and all.. if you need something changing often. However.. many dynamic sites can be coded pretty statically and have parts that are dynamic (comments, testimonials, etc). Hard coded ends up being a bit quicker, and with things like bootstrap and such it's a code once and work on all if done correctly.

Not necessarily a 'mobile' version, so long as the site is responsive and scales well to mobile size screens, that'll appease the mighty G. Seen them advertised a lot and they largely design the templates for you.
