I've not used Sky or BT Broadband so I can't help you there, but to add a potential third thing to consider. Maybe look at what broad offers are available here;

Have you considered switching to Virgin Media if its available in your area?

As a new customer you would be entitled to the best offers on something like the Big Daddy bundle;

Its pretty much all channels I imagine you get with Sky

Sky Movies, Sky sports included, 152Mb broadband.

###### you pay ALOT!!

I was just thinking Virgin Media perhaps?

At least if you get Sky go through Quidco. They have some excellent Cashback offers.

I am SURE that you can get 72 or higher with Sky Fibre. I was checking for me just a few months back but I cant seem to find it now. How strange. Maybe they pulled that.

Personally I like the Sky interface and the box.

just double checked, unavailable for everything but mobile phone :(

Also don't forget if you try to leave Sky, they may also offer you a better deal.

exactly what i was thinking too, im sure both companies will better each others deal to keep/gain a customer

How much of what you have at the moment do you need? You have Sky with all the packages do you need them all? It might well be the case that you do, but I used to have the same and realised that I never really needed all of it. Now I have BT Infinity BB @ 60mbps, Netflix and Prime Instant for my movie/tv shows and I can find pretty much everything I need. You do miss some live entertainment channels and the movies come a bit later but it's a lot cheaper. It depends on what you want I guess.  I normally watch sports at the weekend so I sometimes buy a NowTV pass for

Yep, used both and now use neither.

If you go with BT, you'll miss a few Sky channels as it's basically just a glorified freeview service with a few extra packages you can pay for, but the broadband always ran better than it did with Sky even though it comes down the same pipe, from the same exchange.

My advice, look at what channels you actually watch, and see if they're available on BT, if not (and you'll miss them) then you're kind of stuck with Sky.

I did exactly this, decided to go with Sky, phoned them up, they wouldn;t offer me any deals or anything at all, so i didn't go with them. Now i use Freeview+ for domestic TV, and anything exotic comes through the BT internet in the form of Netflix / Amazon, a hell of a lot cheaper than either Sky or BT.

True. I don't have a smart TV so it serves me pretty well if I want to watch iPlayer/Youtube etc on my TV.

Possible you could get NowTv without the box though I guess (haven't looked into it). You could then just stream to your tablet/whatever and use a Chromecast to get to your TV. That being said it's always another box to connect  :)

im interested with the nowtv pass, but it does mean another box to connect to your tv. plus champions league is going to bt next season so might look at dropping sports to save the money

I'm not a big football person, don't watch it and I know it tends to be spread across, Sky, BT and perhaps still BBC and ITV (maybe that's only international games, shows how much I know!) but the
