sammy2
I guess the spending season is coming up and I need a few upgrades. I would like to get a new mouse and keyboard, nothing too expensive but the ones I have are outdated - loud keyboard and mouse is not reliable. Also would like a ram. CPU and Video cards are good enough but I think I could use a ram boost and a better mouse -keyboard. I also have Z906 speakers that I think might be helped with a sound card lol. Any good suggestions on that ? philcruicks
I'm assuming from the Graphics card you do a fair bit of gaming, so some suggestions based on that below: Logitech G series keyboard and mouse are all fairly good, just take a look at whenever is in your price range, I have the G700s mouse and G510 Keyboard, both are great. Your CPU and GPU are indeed plenty powerful enough, as for RAM I'd see if you can find more of what you have (Model number is for 4GB Dimms so your current setup is 2x4GB?) if so get another of the same 2x4GB as you have enough slots. Though they seem quite hard to get a hold of now, so maybe just a fresh set of 2x8GB versions of that. Headset wise I just got a Kingston Hyper X Cloud II, which is a nice headset, software 7.1 which actually works quite well, completely detachable mic so can be used just as headphones or a headset, USB and Jack connections, so can use it with pretty much anything including XBone and PS4. Get the same RAM series and add two more sticks. Bump it up to either 16GB or 24GB. I personally love this keyboard. Takes a few days of getting used to, but you'll type faster and more comfortably: https://www.microsoft.com/accessories/en-us/products/keyboards/natural-ergonomic-keyboard-4000/b2m-00012 If you don't feel like getting an ergonomic one, get a mechanical keyboard. Really nice key feedback. http://www.corsair.com/en/raptor-k50-gaming-keyboard Get a Logitech gaming mouse like the G402 or G502, even if you aren't a gamer. They're very comfortable, super accurate, high quality, and they have a whole bunch of programmable keys. http://gaming.logitech.com/nl-nl/product/g402-hyperion-fury-fps-gaming-mouse http://gaming.logitech.com/nl-nl/product/g502-proteus-core-tunable-gaming-mouse
