One of the most intense rivalries in north Texas high school football reached a new violent level this fall when a Decatur cheerleader shot a Bridgeport cheerleader with a paintball gun. The Decatur cheerleader were driving by Bridgeport's high school late one night and saw their cheerleaders toilet-papering a tree. The Decatur girl then pulled a paintball gun out of the back of the pickup truck she was riding in and shot one of the Bridgeport girls in the rear with a frozen paintball. The shooter was later confronted by police and accepted responsibility for the act. Both young women were not allowed to cheer at the big game, which Decatur won easily 35-14. I remember hearing it on the news :laugh: There was also one about the cheerleaders getting drunk in another High School that's near me. They had beer in their waterbottles instead of water or Powerade (or whatever sports drink the school uses) and they got drunk during the football game...
