DOOM 2016 Demo - Out Now

Apparently, we've been slipping; amidst all the OTHER announcements from Bethesda @ E3, we let the one about the DOOM demo skate right past us.  And even stranger, it's not a "coming soon" demo, either - it's out on Steam right now.  Got Steam and 8 GB of free disk space?  Desist thy stalling.

A demo after the main release? Well I guess it can still help sales...

Nick - Doom isn't the first game - not even from iD or Bethesda - to take such a bass-ackward stance; for example, Ashes of the Singularity doesn't have a demo out at all YET.  (Neither does ANNO 2205 - which is older than either.)

 

Also, DOOM has been showcased on high-end (belay that - ridiculous-end) hardware for the most part; generally-available demos are aimed at showing the rest of us what we need to upgrade to have an enjoyable game experience.
