real-time strategy [Inquiry] Real time Online Strategy Game?

Hi All. It has been a while since I posted to neowin!

 

I am looking for a Real time Strategy Game, Not turn-based, that can be played online today.

 

I have always loved games like the Age Of Empires, Rise of Nations, Warcraft (The original strategy game, not WoW). But I am not sure if those are still playable today, and whether they will feel as exciting with today's computers and high resolution screens.

 

So do you recommend any games in this realm? Do you know if there is a modernized versions of the games mentioned above that are playable online?
