chriskober
I am going to be ghosting a HD to a new PC. My question is, will ghost copy every single thing? I mean will every app be there?,every zip file?, every .RAR file?.. If I click the start button and go to programs will everything be there??? Or will i have to reinstall the apps? Thanks Chris
kaffra
yup ghost will copy everything. Well its supposed to. Backup to my existing pc i havent had any problems, but to a new machine, drivers, hardware config might be a prob. Theres more info in the manual for that.:)

Nowhereman
Ghost will do what you want, you will just have to install new drivers.. I am not sure what OS you have, but with Windows98 the easiest way to clear out your old unneeded drivers is to boot to safe mode, run regedit and delete the enum keys.. at that point you will be back to windows with absolutely no hardware drivers installed
Mike11212
Ghost will copy it all. Even that kiddie porn you deleted 6 months ago. Actually Ghost makes perfect copies Most System Builders use it to burn images onto hard drives instead of installing operating systems and programs over and over again.
