My review on Sanyo's DVD-SL40 DVD slimline DVD player

Outputs

Outputs include a coaxial digital out, standard audio/video output jacks, S-Video output and component video output jacks.

Faceplate & Remote

The front plate is simple and lacks a LCD info screen, but all the onscreen displays make up for that. The remote is simple, takes 2 AA batteries and is a bulky in features.

Features

As for media it played all the CDs and DVDs I could throw at it. All DVD movies played perfectly, weather it was backed up or homemade from SVCD files. All SVCD's on many different brands of cheap and pricy CDR worked flawlessly, MP3 DVD and CD discs read and played amazingly with ID3 tag support on the bottom of the simple browser window. Although you can not browse the selections while your playing a song. This player also supports Kodak Picture CD and does have Progressive Scanning for better quality on your HD system.

I was unable to test any RW material, or raw picture files.

*sidenote*

At the time of writing this, I am unable to find any information on this player. I have searched the sanyo website with no luck and am unable to find any legitimate website that has good information and/or pricing.

Overall

This player stands to be one of the best out-of-the-box slimlines I have used to date. Playing anything and everything I Could throw at it with a quiet drive and packed with useful features this player gets a 5/5.

Pros

-Plays VCD/SVCD/DVD-SVCD/DVD/JPG/MP3/CDR/DVD+R/DVD-R

-Quiet load

-Slimline appearance

-Plenty of features

Cons

-No LCD display on player

-unable to play new compressed formats

-could use more output ports(optical audio out)

-Lacks batteries & S-video cable in packaging

    • I am not surprised because life is the product of a lot of biochemical and physical processes that releases various energies as a by-product. The only thing new here is the detection of these photon emissions. The researches noted this "glow" is not a metaphysical one. They don't even immediately end when one is dead. Things like fires, light bulbs, and on a bigger scale stars release a lot more "light" and they are hardly alive.
