Anapod Explorer Review by Redchair Software

Recommended Posts

Finally you get your Apple iPod you can't wait to open and start bopping to your tunes. You connect it Windows recognizes it but your playback software does not support or does not give you settings options for your iPod.

THE SOFTWARE

The software comes in 3 variations

Anapod Explorer: iPod Edition: costs $25 and only supports all the iPod's

Anapod Explorer: iPod mini Edition: costs $25 and only supports all the Mini iPod?s Anapod Explorer: Universal Edition:b> costs $30 and only supports all the iPod?s and Mini iPod?s.

Only available for download and the installer is less tha:o1MB :o yes, 1MB.

Place your iPod into the cradle and open Anapod Explorer, the first thing that you have to do is activate the product. No! Noo! Nooo! not like MS follow the instructions and you will active the product and a activation token will be e-mailed to you keep the activation token safe as you will need it every time you do a fresh install.

Restart Anapod Explorer and you get your well known and loved explorer interface.

Does it get any easier? No. Wrong, it does select your music files/folders now right click >> Sent To >> Windows iPod and it transfers them onto the iPod

5.jpg

You can also auto sync so it compares selected folders on the PC and iPod and when you click Syncnorize it will copy the files onto the iPod or PC

You can also stream or download your music over the internet.

its sorted alphabetically. so you could get around it by going to the SendTo folder under documents and settings\YourLoginID and rename the shortcut it put there. put a number 1 in front of it or something to put it to the top of the list.

  • 2 weeks later...

My big question here is, can this thing support more than 1 ipod. We have 5 ipods in the family and 3 computers and all ipods are used interchangeably. Will I be able to use the Anapod for all my computers and Ipods. What if I purchase another IPOD from the one used to activate will I need to activate again?

I'm really tempted to switch from iTunes.

Can Anapod create playlists? Or do I have to use another program like Winamp to create playlists? I really like the Smart Playlist functionality of iTunes.
