I'm new to Mac (just got my first Laptop powerbook, yay) and i'm trying to load firefox. It's there in the finder and when i click it the little icon bounces in the dock but nothing. Fat zero. Any help?

Also, is there any "load at startup" function like you get with Windows.

Let it bounce for a while, it will eventually load for me, the first time, afterwards it's fine.. (10.3.4, ibookg4-800 for me).

Click the Apple icon on the top left of your screen. Go to System Preferences > Accounts > Startup Items and then add or delete apps accordingly. No more editing the registry. Yayy! :D

....thankfully there's no registry on mac ;)

I always just leave my default browser open in the dock even if no windows are active, firefox is starting to get back to being stable, when .9x came out, extensions f00ked up firefox completely.. ugh

hmm, are you using a nightly or the release version? if you are using a release version, hmm.. i would recommend trying a recent nightly.

If you havent yet been able to get firefox to work, I'dd try deleting the profile, to delete it (with firefox closed ofcourse)...
click on the finder icon in the dock, click on the home icon in the sidebar, then library, then go into application support, then there will be a firefox folder, delete it and empty the trash, hopefully that helps
