Apple fights the entertainment industry!

Hell not only have they refused to bow to DRM but look at this

SiliconValley.com has an article running that makes me think geeks everywhere may soon become Apple fans. Why you may ask?

Well because Apple is resisting the Entertainment industry?something no other major tech company has done. Microsoft bowed to the RIAA and MPAA. So did AMD and Intel. Apple, on the other hand, is embracing DVD and CD recording technology, MP3 ripping software and ignoring attempts to add onto these technologies. It is possible to transfer songs from an iPod to another computer, with a 3rd party shareware package, and Apple has said nothing about it. It's also possible to copy a DVD to your hard drive and watch it with the Apple player... Still no mention. I say amen to Apple for standing up to the 600lb Gorilla!

Least they have done something right...

Now all they need to do is bring the Mac into a main stream price and they would gain a lot of users.

I like my Mac, but don't want to have to spend ?3,000+ getting one which will do as much as my PC.

Guess my G4 400 will struggle on for a while longer. But good for Apple anyway.

im not suprised of this...they dont want to be another microsoft lol, if they agreed with the entertainment industry, then they'dd probably have to ditch the ipod and possibly even itunes :(...but with the lawyers the RIAA has...hopefully apple wont get affected :(
