Why you may ask?Well because Apple is resisting the Entertainment industry?something no other major tech company has done. Microsoft bowed to the RIAA and MPAA. So did AMD and Intel. Apple, on the other hand, is embracing DVD and CD recording technology, MP3 ripping software and ignoring attempts to add onto these technologies. It is possible to transfer songs from an iPod to another computer, with a 3rd party shareware package, and Apple has said nothing about it. It's also possible to copy a DVD to your hard drive and watch it with the Apple player... Still no mention. Now all they need to do is bring the Mac into a main stream price and they would gain a lot of users. I like my Mac, but don't want to have to spend ?3,000+ getting one which will do as much as my PC. Guess my G4 400 will struggle on for a while longer. But good for Apple anyway.
