Differences between these and the default skins (Mercury & Onyx):

Removed: DVD logo, Feature Icons, Cyberlink logo's, Colour themes & the Upgrade button.

Smaller Taskbar Mode -> PDVD7taskbar2.jpgPDVD7taskbar1.jpg

Changed the AutoHideDuration (Fullscreen) to 1000 (= 1 second) instead of 3000, replaced the Backgrounds,

changed the Step backward and Step forward buttons and commands to Rewind and Fast forward.

You can still use the Step backward and Step forward buttons in the Undocked Player Panel and the Control

Wheel Mode or by using the Shortcut Keys: Ctrl+B (Step backward) and T (Step forward).

Install: Copy the dll files to "%ProgramFiles%\CyberLink\PowerDVD\Skins" open PowerDVD,

select the User Interface Tab in the Configuration Screen, select a skin from the list and click OK.

Nice skins.

Where did you get the picture in the sixth skin?

From Pixelgirl Presents.

? ?vaoni_stock_dt_tmb.jpgUpdate:b> I've changed the Step backward and Step forward buttons from all skins to Rewind and Fast forward.

You can still use the Step backward and Step forward buttons in the Undocked Player Panel and the Control Wheel Mode or by using the Shortcut KeysCtrl+Bb> (Step backward) anTb> (Step forward).

Doesnt work for me. If i drop the .dll in the skins folder, nothing. If a make a folder for it like the others, powerdvd crashes when I access the configuration.

These skins are for PowerDVD 7, they are not compatible with PowerDVD 6 & older.

Update: I've updated the buttons from all skins to reflect the command changes (Rewind and Fast forward).

This is a Batman PowerDvd7 skin I made using the help in this forumn, Thanks a lot for the guides, and the pointers. I left the multicolor aspect of the skin alone but changed the buttons, and logos to better match the skin. The glasses and dvd logo are also removed.

How to remove the Glasses, the DVD logo, the Feature Icons and change the background

Stop the toolbar from showing up (Fullscreen Mode)

I've added 2 black skins (Earth's City Lights & Not Alone).

Hi,

Love the skins, but I actually do prefer the Step Forward and Step Back controls on the Toolbar and prefer to use the mouse wheel for Fast Forward and Rewind, so is there a way for me to change those buttons back on any of your skins?

Thanks!

Welcome to Neowin! :)

Open the skin with a Resource Hacher and replace Skin.xml with this one (attached zip).

Okay, I opened the skin in Resource Hacker but I was sure how to replace Skin.xml with the one attached. I did Action-Replace Resource and chose the skin.xml downloaded. For Resource Type I put XML and for Resource Name I put SKIN.XML. I opened PowerDVD and this did not work when I chose the skin, it got an error. Did I do it wrong?

The error says "Skin script file error: C:\Program Files\Cyberlink\PowerDVD\skins\Lightning.dll

Error Code 0xc00ce508

Error Message: An invalid character was found in text content."

When you click OK, it comes up with another message says, "Skin script file error: C:\Program Files\Cyberlink\PowerDVD\Skins\Lightning.dll\Resource.xml.

The error code 0x80070003 is undefined."

Hi,

After I tried all this, PowerDVD wouldn't open until I replaced the new skin with the original one and then I couldn't play DVDs anymore. It stayed in File Mode and would try to read the DVD as media files and, for some reason, that would not play. I had to end up reinstalling PowerDVD 7. It plays correctly now, but it wiped out all the downloaded skins so I have to put them back into the Skins directory. Anyway, it was just kinda strange that certain side effect that I couldn't play DVDs after I tried to replace the skin.xml.

    • For a guy who claims to hate Farage and the ignorant, gullible, rightwing racist skinheads sponsored by Putin that his lies represent, you sure are quoting them time and time and time again, mate. I guess you're conveniently ignoring the fact that your country and commonwealth just happened to work much better when it was still part of the E.U.? Denial isn't just a river in Egypt.
    • Do you live in the U.K? Do any of the people here that are against the UK leaving the E.U, live in the U.K? If not then why are you bothered? If you do live here then it is a different thing . Brexit was a good idea, should have done it years before, it was done badly, but the idea was good. You are saying the same thing as remainers do, oh we did what Putin wanted, we listened to the lies and Farage. I hate Farage and never believed most of what he said, certainly did not believe the £350m a week for the NHS. But we did pay a lot of money to the E.U and yes some of it came back, but what is the point of paying it out for only some of it to come back? Get out of the E.U, no money to them and in theory we can use the money to do things in the country. I said in theory, but our governments are a total and complete waste of space. No matter what colour rosette they wear. You and others say it was a mistake and yet the two main parties in the U.K are not looking at rejoining the EU, I wonder why that is? I was not tricked by anyone. Makes no odds now, we are out and have been for 10 years, what we need is a decent government to run the country. All they do is shout at each other like a load of kids and seems to do nothing and make this country more into a police and nanny state. Getting more like China all the time.

    • Yeah... The root of my comment, ostensibly, is how to spin the story via the actual technical merits of the solution! * Decentralized (aka federated) solution with built-in encrypted ephemeral message transport, * Transport via Relays (intermediary servers) with no message archival, * Second configurable pathway are actual email servers (if DNS records are programmed accordingly) via IMAP protocols carriage, * "Chat-over-Email" is the design pattern adopted; it can either leverage full-blown Email Server (must use the INBOX folder) to exchange all received messages/edits/reactions (so be weary of notifications overloads) [best practice is creating a separate email acct used explicitly for federated chat purposes!] or leverage its built-in Relay Server mechanism which actually resides on-device (by default but can be configured otherwise), * By virtue of be a decentralized/federated model, all other intermediary servers who may pass-along messages (while the recipient's final relay/device is inaccessible) cannot snoop on the messages due to the encrypted nature of contents. The intermediaries may, however, analyze the metadata due to the simple fact that routing mechanisms require hints for relay destinations. Unfortunately, whomever is posting about DeltaChat across socials are misleading with "zero metadata" claims -- especially when the Relays (according to their own technical documents) mandate the addition of chat-version metadata and other decorations in order to actually transport any message. -- Based on this summary, I'd prefer if they'd better dual-path message transport (email server add-in, federated relay engine) rather than patch-on email protocols to existing federated social media frameworks. They're frankensteining something rather than extending widely-deployed technology stacks.
