Saints Row Just Corrupted my Profile

Recommended Posts

I am totally and utterly fed up right now. About 10 minutes ago I tried to save my game in Saints Row. After about a minute it came back saying that there was no space on my MU or hard disk.

I went back to the dashboard to find that my gamertag has been corrupted along with a number of save games.

At the moment I am trying to salvage what I can from the MU and place it onto the 360's hard disk. I then plan to try and recover the gamertag and hopefully it won't wipe out the game saves that I have managed to recover.

I am so totally fed up right now with the whole 360 experience you won't believe it, about a month ago I had a 360 fail on me and now this happens.... :(

Update:

This keeps getting better and better. It turns out about 30% of my saved games are now corrupt. On top of that I can't recover my gamertag (it falls over complaining about the signup is unavailable) and now it won't sign me into xbox live anymore saying my membership info is invalid.

Update 3:

After deleting the local profile it now appears to be recovering the gamer profile from live...I hope!

I'll keep you guys posted. At the moment the 360 is downloading my gamertag from live. Its taking absolutely ages.

Update:

The profile has just corrupted again, I was just going through my games to make sure the saves that where not corrupted actually worked and the profile went corrupt again.

Dodgy Memory Unit perhaps?

Turns out it was the memory card that is dodgy. I've had to download my gamertag again and I've now copied everything I can over to the hard disk. I'm going to have to start N3, Saints Row, FarCry and DOA4 from scratch again.

The first 3 games save files were all totally trashed, DOA4's is impossible to copy from MU to hard-disk and vice-versa as there is some kind of file lock in place.

I'm a little annoyed, but it could have been a lot worse and trashed everything.

I've just ordered up another Memory unit to replace this one. I'm going to make sure that I have backups now just in case.
