mezz
Don't select/install the packages during the installtion, when you are finishing with install. Then, you can try to install the packages again.

mezz
Have you disable the PnP (Play-n-Plugin) in the BIOS, yet?
[X]
Why do I have to disable PnP anyway?
mezz
You should, no matter what OS you are using. It's best to disable even thought you have the Windows. These day, whole OS can device the hardwares by themselves. When you build a computer, the first lesson when you plugin the computer, always get in BIOS and disable the stupid PnP and other useless features that you don't need. I usually disable first following: 1) PnP 2) auto IRQ 3) anti-virus They are the most common that cause the strange problems. Also, they are the most useless feature.
