Windows XP SP2 boot/login issue

Hi

I have just reinstalled XP SP2 on my notebook (asus a6ja core duo, 2gb ram, ati x1600, etc). After installing all of the software and drivers that i had on my previous installation one problem has popped up.

After every bootup and login there is a approx. 1 min pause before the WLAN client starts at all.

This is what happens:

I login on my user account in Windows XP, and most of my startup drivers/apps starts:

Asus Wireless Console

Kaspersky Antivirus 6.0

Ad Muncher

Realtek HD Audio Manager

Logitech SetPoint (External Logitech MX518 mouse)

Synaptics TouchPad

After these apps/drivers has started, the computer/cpu idles for about 30-40 seconds before one of the svchost.exe processes starts to work with 100% cpu usage of one of the core's (so 50% here, since i have a dual core) and it's memory usage is between 50-90mb. After about 15-20 seconds of full cpu usage the WLAN service pops up and starts working as normal. After this, Notebook Hardware Control (NHC) also starts which i use for controlling my notebooks temperatures, power, fans, voltages and power usage profiles.

It seems like the WLAN service "pauses", or is not starting automaticly, and that the service is started when the Automatic Updates service is started. But what's weird is that NHC does not start up before after the WLAN service is active, and NHC is in my startup list just like everything else which starts just fine before!

On my previous installation i also used the exact same applications and drivers and did not have a issue with this.

Anyone got any tips on how to fix this, as i am absolutely clueless! :(

By the way, all current Microsoft updates are installed, my system is free of spyware/adware (checked with updated Spybot S&D and Ad-Aware, plus Kaspersky AV 6.0 also detects this). I have defragmented my drive, and my Windows is activated and i have a valid licence.

I believe it may be Kaspersky. Disable it and reboot. Same?
