Circaflex Posted December 15, 2002 Share Posted December 15, 2002 Hey boys and girls i am on linux got it to work and what not, now i need to see how to install some drivers for my nvidia card. im on red hat 8 i found the ones i needed i used the NVchoose or something off their site, so thats not a quetions how do i get them to work now? They are in the rpm extension if that helps. redhat 8 should have a software installer already in the menus or u can do.. oh damn i forgot it i think its rpm -i but im drawing a blank. makmak Posted December 15, 2002 Share Posted December 15, 2002 download either the Nividia driver compiled for RH8. Yes. Both the GLX and Kernel driver. The do this for both. rpm -ivh xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.rpm Edit the /etx/X11/XF86config-4 as advised from the nvidia readme's file.
