mandrake - apache problem...

Recommended Posts

here's the deal real quick. my mandrake 9 box has apache 1.3.26 on it and i decided to upgrade it to apache 2.0.43. only problem is that it didn't upgrade the old install.. it installed a separate version of apache. so now, the old version is still running and the new one is not being used. how can i make the box use the new apache 2.0 as the web server and ignore (or delete) the old version?? thanks.

beggari

In Mandrake you can go to the Mandrake Control Centre's services icon (not sure where it is specifically). There should be httpd or apache, just disable it and enable httpd2 or apache2.
