I need to use something like Dreamweaver and Fireworks on Ubuntu.

Dreamweaver, I use Design view a lot, and FF is easy, and I can splice the image.

Quanta Plus, NVU/Kompozer, Bluefish are a few of the WYSIWYG html editors available in Linux. Not sure how they compare to Dreamweaver but you could give them a shot. All I know about Fireworks is that it's a vector program. You can try Inkscape or Xara Xtreme (which is apparently available for Windows too)

wine or Codeweavers CrossOver might help, but it doesn't look like it will be reliable: http://www.codeweavers.com/compatibility/b...name/?app_id=14
