It was innovative, addictive, and the fact that they still can make all these expansions and new versions means there is obviously a lot of interest in it still. If I were them, I would make a new one. I think the new one will be awesome. They will have a lot of new ideas probably and the graphics should rule making this game awesome. But the point is they sold, so whether or not they added a lot it was still good for the company. If people buy it, of course you are going to make more. John Veteran Posted May 5, 2003 Veteran Share Posted May 5, 2003 the sims started out as a great game. now it's obscessed with sex and all those "thousands" of items would never see the inside of my house. they need to make it more realistic, more items resembling things people actually have in their houses. the sim games (simcity, simtower, simfarm, etc) were started because they were simulations. now, with the sims, it's turned into a "live your fantasy" game. very disappointing if you ask me. Of course its a "life simulation" but nobody in this world would ever want to replicate their entire life in a computer game. If "living your fantasy" sells, then so be it.
