Currently working on Phantom, the next-to-last novel in the Sword of Truth series (don't judge it based on Legend of the Seeker!) And next up is Transformers:Exodus, the novel tying into the War for Cybertron game, both of which are the backstory for the new TF:Prime TV series.

I haven't read anything for over two years now, I think, apart from one book that we had to read for school (and it was pretty bad, as usual). But I won a Kindle 3 in a competition, and started loading it with books. I've started reading "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" in Dutch (Dutch title: "Mannen die vrouwen haten" aka "Men who hate women"), and I love it!

I usually prefer reading in English because most Dutch translations are quite bad, but since the book is originally Swedish I went with Dutch (my mother tongue). The plan is to read it in Swedish next year as part of my preparation for studying and working in Sweden for a year (and hopefully the rest of my life).

Trying hard to read Coin Locker Babies by Ryu Murakami at the moment. An excellent book by a favourite author of mine, but it's a bit heavy/depressing at times so I keep putting it down after only a few pages.

How does it compares to the likes of Mishima or Haruki Murakami?

I haven't got round to reading any of Haruki Murakami's stuff yet, but the only way I can describe CLB as is; Deep, harrowing and real.

Sounds pretty much like HM, and that's great. What book do you recommend as a starting point?

The first one I read was In The Miso Soup, followed by Piercing. They're not as hard going as CLB, and shorter so definitely a good place to start.

    • I'm still rocking iOS 25.x on my primary phone cuz iOS 26 still has usability quirks (mostly aesthetic and thus its UX) which I don't wanna deal with -- and I've been piloting them with all of these updates on my backup phone, so I'm well aware of its "improvements" since iOS 26 was first released (compared to version 26.5.x).
