unknownsoldierX
In a batch file I have: taskkill /f /IM explorer.exe explorer.exe Explorer starts up, but all the icons in the notification area are gone except the volume, network, and action center icons. Also, explorer windows lock up when I right-click within a folder.
Saint Shiv
what's the /f /im? I know if I CTRL+ALT+DEL kill explorer, all icons show. Even icons that are set to hide.
Jen Smith
what's the /f /im? I know if I CTRL+ALT+DEL kill explorer, all icons show. Even icons that are set to hide. /IM lets you specify an image name instead of a process ID, including wildcards. /F forces it closed regardless if it wants to or not. /? is a handy one too. :)
