nvm, seems to work fine with windows 8. Both the 64 and 32 bits.

This copy was downloaded March 2011, so I don't know if that's the latest or not. But it works with Windows 8.

Scanned the updated version with VirusTotal and it reports the following:

x86 version: 13 / 43
x64 version: 0 / 43

The old version comes clean.

False positives or else? o.O
