I think that driftwood should keep going down stream, possibly over a cliff. And the other should be blasted off into space. If I didn't know better I'd say Stardock's tool of choice for design is MS Paint.

See here's the thing. I understand what WindowBlinds is capable of, and it's an awesome engine...

So why does every skin/theme I see look so totally overdone and unusable?

I agree looking at those two skins shown above, the task bar looks so windows 98 with those two themes and the windows borders look massive, I have yet to find any windows blinds skins that look good, unless I am missing something??. Don't get me wrong its a great program but the skins let it down.

Exactly. It CAN do so much, and yet it's never allowed to shine!

Been that way for years, most of the decent skins ive seen are ports of .msstyle themes.

A lot of Windowblinds skins are intended to look like a certain theme.

I do agree these all look kinda dated though - whoever designs these themes should stop looking at video games from the 90's for inspiration. :p
