GPS Apps

I'm looking for a GPS apps that will log the location on fixed time lets says every 15mins that I can later download and load into Google Maps/Earth but the app does not use data

Any recommendations?

Yes I have the Google Maps but that uses data I'm looking for an app that just logs coordinates

on the new HTC sense (Desire Z, HD etc) I think maybe able to do it with 'locations' app if that's any help.

MotionX GPS Lite is freeware and it does that. The paid for lets you store more maps at a time. It has a tracking feature too (which I found handy for hiking), but i don't recall there being a setting for "every 15 minutes" or w/e. It seemed to just log so long as it was on, and I suspect that it would eat the batteries pretty fast.

I'm not sure if you can load that data into Google Earth...you can certainly take snapshots of the map with markers for your locations.

AURA might do it, but I am not sure because I've only got an ANDROID phone. It may be available for iOS as well.
