From the three iPhone GPS app that I reviewed (MetroView, Sygic Aura, and NAVIGON MobileNavigator), I'd pick the NAVIGON - the voice pronounciation is not weird, bunch of good features that we'd actually use, active lane assistant, and a few others)

Haven't tried TomTom yet on the iPhone so I can't give my opinion on that one.

Currently using WAZE, and although I like it, I do notice it is not super polished, and gives me wrong turns from time to time.

What are other users using for GPS on their IPhone? I am a city driver (Chicago).

Try Navfree, I use it in Australia and it's pretty good, they have a version for the US

The best? Sygic Aura!

I have Sygic Aura BeNeLux and it's a really nice GPS, better than TomTom or Ndrive (these two are the ones I have tested already, can't tell you more about other GPS software for the iPhone).

Have a look at the Sygic website for more info and watch some vids on YouTube or read some reviews: you really want this GPS and nothing else.

Also, you can use it to go for a walk as well, it's very nice to walk through Brussels with 3D buildings around me :)

Paying for gps apps ?? No need to do that on a good old HTC Desire.

You don't have to on the iPhone either. It's a personal preference to use GoogleMaps or a GPS that talks to you.

I use Google Maps most the time, I did try TomTom while bluetoothing my iPhone to the wife's Mazda 3 when I drove from NC to TN, it was nice when it turned down the music and gave me voice directions.

Gotta say, that Sygic looks terrible. The layout is WAY too cluttered and ugly. But it is cheap :)

Sygic looks terrible

it's the most beautiful GPS navigation for the iPhone you mean

As well as voice navigation, some of these dedicated GPS apps come with complete map data so that there is limited, if any, need for data usage.

Just watch the size of the app, if it's more than let's say 300MB than probably you don't need any data connection to use the GPS.

    • Shocker! It would be crazy to be ready to introduce a "fold" phone but have no plans happening for a followup model.
    • XBOX is at the end of its generational life cycle and wasn't selling much anyway. They need to figure out the pricing for XBOX Helios. However, I'm not buying the DRAM shortage with AI preferring HBM. I think it's industry gouging.
