Is seams that Elementary team has something that could turn out to be great for users.
They have their own application menu called slingshot which gives you a pleasing and simple to use interface for browsing installed applications on your system.
It reminds me of Gnome 3. I like the layout and the menu (categories) at the top, not like Dash where it is hidden.
