Apple confirms January 27 event for its 'latest creation'

Apple has begun sending select invitations to the media for its special January 27 event.

The event will begin at 10am Pacific Time on Wednesday, January 27 at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco. The invite simply states "come see our latest creation." Apple has been long rumoured to be introducing a tablet device, possibly named "iSlate".

Stay tuned to see what Apple has up its sleeves.

Yes. I mean, did you get one Neowin?

They've never been at any of the other Apple press events. Best bet is Engadget and macrumours, they usually do the best live coverage.

Yay!!! That's my birthday. Too bad I'm not an Apple fan lol That all depends on what's new. I do have an iphone and like the look and feel plus more. If they come out with a slate like rumoured, I might be tempted.

I don't understand why anything that has to do with Apple is on the front page.

Because Neowin has always reported Apple news. Like, for the past 9 years. If you don't like it you can "customize" your news from the main page so that you don't see anything tagged Apple. Then you can have it like you like it and stop complaining.

Oh lordy, another sh** product from Apple. It would be interesting to see how many people would buy a piece of poo with the Apple branding on it.

What's even better is ignorant people who judge a product before they even know what it is. Yeh you're much better than the people who blindly buy Apple products!

Come on, it won't be a tablet. I can almost guarantee it

You think it just Macs with i5 processors and this is just the Appke hype machine at work? Macs with touch screens also?

How do you know it's not the tablet? The tablet has been pretty much confirmed as their next big thing. Only makes sense it would be labeled as their "latest creation".

Updated hardware isn't exactly a "latest creation".

Their latest creation?? Yea, with technology used by other companies. Nothing is just one persons/companies creation. I love how companies claim to be the only one behind a product.

Wonder if they are going to use technology from companies with no agreement to use said technology...again...

So if they release an updated iPod touch or iLife/iWork version they'll suddenly sell it for $999?

I was referring to the

"The invite simply states "come see our latest creation." Apple has been long rumoured to be introducing a tablet device, possibly named "iSlate"."

updated iPod touch or iLife/iWork does not warrant "latest creation".

Hmm, I'm curious to see what they will be releasing. I have no intention of purchasing any upgrades to my year-old Macbook at this time, and I really don't see the draw of a touch screen computer/tablet, but I am excited to see what they will be bringing out just the same.
