Rumor: Grand Theft Auto V for PCs coming in Q1 2014

Grand Theft Auto V, the billion dollar blockbuster game of 2013 has been initially denied a PC version by the game's developer Rockstar Games, but now it all seems to change very soon.

According to multiple sources for Eurogamer, the game is in production for PCs and will be out in the first quarter of 2014. Earlier this year, NVIDIA director also mentioned that a PC version would launch following the consoles. Rockstar Games, however has not officially announced any details about the game. Soon after the news of Rockstar ditching the PC had hit the internet, an online petition was started by outraged gamers which currently has more than half a million supporters.

Rockstar Games had previously released the PC port of Grand Theft Auto IV, nearly eight months after the console release which can be what they are targeting with the new game. Grand Theft Auto V has been the most expensive video game ever made but the lack of a PC version has left out many fans of the franchise from enjoying it. Post-release, Grand Theft Auto V has become the fastest to hit $1 billion in sales among all entertainment media beating Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.

PC gamers who have waited for GTA V will definitely add to the success of the game if the reports do turn out to be true. We will know more about this once Rockstar Games makes an official statement.

12 FPS on 760 SLI, 32-bit, DirectX 9, no mouse support, tells you not to turn off your computer while playing, DRM, Social Club, etc.

I read an excerpt there was code detailed for PC and PS4. I'm pretty excited if this is the case; I can play at higher resolutions and additonal AA

i think it will definately come to the PC, they cant ignore what it started out on. If it also comes out for the xbox one and PS4 i doubt theyd do a rubbish port

The real news here is that is probably coming to next gen consoles as well.
They will have an x86 PC version ready, is going to be a suicide not to port it over to the x86 based next-gen consoles like XBOX One and PS4 and Rockstar is not stupid.

Only if they do a proper port this time. They sure don't want the bad publicity from a half baked port on the new consoles, so they will have to step it up and even improve image quality a bunch (you see, once you go at least 1080p those low res 360 textures don't cut it anymore)

It will be coming, R* have simply released it first on consoles so that people don't pirate the game like they will on PCs. Now that they are sitting comfortably at what... 2-3 billion dollars from sales they will release it for PC, as they have recouped their money and any PC release that comes from pirated copies would mean nothing to them except good word of mouth, which in the end means more copies of the game out there for people to enjoy.

I say come on Q1 2014 I for one would be buying this legit for my PC

Grand Theft Auto III: 7 months

PS2: October 22, 2001
Windows: May 20, 2002

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City: ~7 months

PS2: October 27, 2002
Windows: May 12, 2003

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas: ~7 months

PS2: October 26, 2004
Windows: June 7, 2005

Grand Theft Auto IV: ~7 months

PS3 and X360: 29 April 2008
Windows: December 2, 2008

Now do the math for GTA V.

One game that I really miss on PC is Red Dead Redemption. Might eventually buy an xbox 360 just for that.

Hello,

No offense but this is nothing more than a rumor. Rockstar has not officially announced anything, right?

Sensationalist title right there, i got excited for a minute... i don't doubt it's coming but it's misleading since nothing is confirmed.
