Neowin Live blog: HTC September 15 launch event

Neowin is live from the HTC September 15 launch event this morning.

HTC is expected to introduce the new Desire HD and Z handsets, both based on Android. We're teaming up the guys from MoDaCo Android, to bring you live coverage from the event.

The event will begin at 12PM BST (see other time zones)

If the Desire HD really is just shy of £500, why bother getting the Desire for £400 when for another £100, you can have the latest (and greatest?) handset?

EDIT: But then after looking at the spec for the phone and the look, I prefer real buttons to push. So much so, it would be a deciding factor on which to purchase.

Agreed. I'm a HTC Legend owner but I can't stand the fact it still hasn't been updated to Froyo. If things stay this way I won't get another HTC next time around...

Also, we've been living with this annoying bug in the messages app ever since the latest update that still hasn't been fixed.

Yes, what happend to the Windows Phone 7 devices? I want the HD7

I would think NDA would prevent Handset makers from making big announcements about Windows Phone 7 until the official MS launch event.
