Alleged Redmi Note 5 renders show off thin bezels and dual cameras

It has been more than a year since the launch of the Redmi Note 4, which means it"s just about time for Xiaomi to plan the next version of its smartphone; while there is no official news about the device yet, alleged renders of the Redmi Note 5 have now surfaced online.

It seems like an iterative upgrade over the Redmi Note design which was first introduced with the Note 3, and borrows the dual camera positioning from the Redmi Pro as well. Keeping up with the trend of minimal bezels, the alleged Note 5 also seems to have narrow bezels and could be thinner than its predecessor.

The smartphone is expected to feature the same 5.5-inch Full HD (1920x1080) display, Snapdragon 630 or 660 chipset, 3 or 4 GB of RAM and 32 or 64 GB of storage. Xiaomi could finally introduce USB Type-C in its mid-range offering this time around with support for QuickCharge 3.0. The battery capacity is said to be lower than the Note 4 and could be 3790 mAh.

Redmi Note is Xiaomi"s best-selling smartphone series and fans will be looking forward to the newest entrant in the series to come out soon. However, there is no launch date announced by the company yet and we will need to wait some more to get additional details.
