Amazon Canada leaks new Kindle Paperwhite revealing bigger display, wireless charging and more

It seems like Amazon is all set to launch the next generation of the Kindle Paperwhite pretty soon. As spotted by GOODEREADER on Amazon Canada, the new Kindle Paperwhite brings some significant improvements over its predecessor that was launched back in 2018.

According to the product description page, the device will have a larger display and will come in two variants - the standard Paperwhite with 8GB of storage while the Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition will feature 32GB of storage. Both of these variants will have a 6.8-inch display with 300 PPI. The e-reader features 17 white and amber front LED lights instead of just 5 ones from the last-gen. The color temperature can also be adjustable just like on the Kindle Oasis.

In addition to that, the Signature edition will feature auto-adjusting brightness and support for wireless charging. Both the devices will have screens flush with bezels with an IPX8 waterproof rating and Wi-Fi connectivity. There"s no mention of cellular connectivity yet.

As for the pricing, the new Paperwhite will retail for CAD 149.99 for the standard 8GB variant while the Signature edition will cost you CAD 209.99. Although the product description page points to product pages, they still throw off 404 errors as of now. However, the product pages are expected to go live in the next 24 hours so you can bookmark them right now:
