Over the weekend, a report surfaced providing a glimpse of what we can expect from the upcoming iPad Pro, including a Face ID support, USB-C port, and an update to the Apple Pencil. On top of those rumors, a leaked photo also popped up online today, hinting at a redesign and a few other changes to the Apple Pencil, which will expectedly come with the new iPad Pro.
The leak comes courtesy of Ben Geskin, who shared via Twitter an image of the supposed Apple Pencil 2 attached magnetically to the side of the tablet.

Meanwhile, another participant in the conversation dug up Patently Apple"s coverage from earlier this year that showed how an Apple Pencil could be recharged while magnetically attached via a smart connector.

It"s also believed that the accessory will pair up with devices via proximity rather than being plugged into the charging port, as previously suggested by code found in the iOS 12.1 betas.
In terms of design, the digital stylus is said to be featuring a "more minimalistic" look, with the accessory rumored to be ditching the silver rail on top. More details are expected to follow at Apple"s upcoming event on October 30 at 10am ET.
