Bonjour Cortana: Microsoft's digital assistant is finally learning better French

Cortana is about to become a bit more classy and romantic as her beta debut in France will take place before this year’s end.

The news came directly from Microsoft France, which announced on Twitter that the digital assistant would be launched in beta form at the same time as Windows 10 Mobile hits devices. As we’ve previously covered, Windows 10 Mobile is expected to be ready in late September, with carriers already announcing update schedules centered around the October, November timeframe.

La version sortira avant la fin de l"année 2015! Et Cortana en version beta sera disponible en même tps :) #MSInnove https://t.co/b7u9KW6Zyk

Of course, Cortana is currently available in alpha form in French and other languages around the world, and anybody that changes their region to US can use her English version. But it’s great to see Microsoft continue their localization process and expand the AI’s capabilities. And since Cortana is more of a service than just an app, expect her PC version to support the new language as well.
