CES 2026: HP unveils an AI PC built into a keyboard form factor

At CES 2026, HP revealed an innovative AI PC form factor, which it claims to be the company"s smallest and lightest AI PC.

The new HP EliteBoard G1a is the world’s first full AI PC built into a keyboard. Its ultra-thin 12 mm keyboard-style design weighs just 750 g, less than half the weight of a typical laptop—creating a clean, minimalist workspace while connecting easily to any external display.

Despite its compact form factor, it integrates dual microphones and speakers and delivers desktop-class AI performance. It supports up to 64GB of RAM and a 2TB SSD, delivering over 50 TOPS of NPU power thanks to the AMD Ryzen AI 300 Series processor inside. HP Smart Sense, AMD Auto State Management, and an optional 32Whr built-in battery (providing 3.5 hours of battery life) dynamically optimize the performance, cooling, and power efficiency of this Copilot+ PC.

The HP EliteBoard G1a AI PC will be available for order in March, with pricing to be revealed closer to availability.

Guayente Sanmartin, Senior Vice President and Division President, Commercial Systems & Displays Solutions at HP Inc. said:

“Work is being redesigned in real time—where it happens, how it happens, and what tools employees need to stay productive. HP’s focus is to remove the friction and complexity that slows people down and turn emerging AI into a real advantage. The HP EliteBoard G1a Next Gen AI PC does exactly that by delivering next-generation local AI power in a keyboard-sized form factor that moves at the speed of modern work.”

Along with the EliteBoard, HP also announced the HP Series 7 Pro 4K Monitor. The HP Series 7 Pro display uses IPS Black panel technology with 4K resolution and Neo:LED backlighting, offering higher contrast and improved black levels compared to conventional IPS panels. It comes factory-calibrated for professional color accuracy and supports user-defined color profiles for workflow-specific requirements. Connectivity includes Thunderbolt 4 with up to 140 W power delivery and 40 Gbps bandwidth, enabling single-cable power, data, and display output.

The HP Series 7 Pro 4K Monitor will also be available in March, and pricing will be revealed closer to availability.
