ChatGPT Connectors allow users to bring data from their favorite services into ChatGPT, enabling them to search, reference, and receive more accurate responses. With connectors, users can also conduct deep research across multiple documents from various services simultaneously, with citations linking back to the originals. Additionally, they can sync and index selected knowledge sources in advance to speed up ChatGPT"s response.
Over the past two days, ChatGPT has added several new connectors for eligible account holders. On Monday, OpenAI announced that the following connectors are now available to search via chat, in addition to deep research:
- Plus: Box, Canva, Dropbox, HubSpot, Notion, Microsoft SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams
- Pro: Microsoft Teams and GitHub
Yesterday, OpenAI announced that Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Contacts are now available to connect with and use in chat for ChatGPT Pro subscribers. Once connected, ChatGPT can automatically reference the data in them in its responses.
This Google Apps automatic integration feature is part of GPT-5 and will be available to all ChatGPT Pro users globally this week. In the coming weeks, it will be made available for ChatGPT Plus, Team, Enterprise, and Edu users.
It is important to note that ChatGPT Connectors for Plus/Pro plans are not available in the EEA, Switzerland, and the UK. ChatGPT Pro users in other parts of the world can go to Settings → Connectors → Connect on the application to enable Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Contacts integration.
OpenAI also announced today that its latest and greatest model, GPT-5, is now live for ChatGPT business plans, which include ChatGPT Team, Enterprise, and Edu. Just as with consumers, GPT-5 is now the default model in ChatGPT for business users. According to OpenAI, GPT-5 outperforms its previous models in writing, research, analysis, coding, and problem-solving.
