E3 2012 brings in 45,700 people; no date or city yet for 2013

E3 2012 is now over and the group that runs the video and PC game trade show, the Entertainment Software Association, said that a total of 45,700 people attended this year"s event in Los Angeles. The ESA"s press release added that E3 2012 resulted in the booking of 30,000 total hotel room nights and a total of almost $40 million in revenue for LA.

As we have reported before, E3 2013 may not be held in LA due to ongoing conflicts between the city and the ESA over the future plans of the LA Convention Center. In this week"s press release, the ESA hinted at these issues, saying that the group "will announce dates and a host-city for E3 2013 in the coming weeks."

Even though E3 2012 is now history, NeoGamr is not yet done with our E3 coverage. We still have a bunch of hands-on and hands-off impressions from the show floor and also from behind closed doors to write about, including our first hands-on impressions of the Wii U console. Stay tuned over the weekend as we will be posting new articles from E3 2012.
