Four games are free to claim on the Epic Games Store today

The new year is almost here, and the Epic Games Store"s holiday giveaway promotion has decided to drop its one-game-a-day schedule and instead offer four games to keep. Replacing yesterday"s Viewfinder offer, now the store is giving away the Trine Classic Collection. PC gamers can grab this collection and keep it forever if they claim it before the next freebie appears tomorrow, December 31.

This is a bundle of games that lets you jump into the adventures of Amadeus the Wizard, Pontius the Knight, and Zoya the Thief in this 2.5D world. What"s included are Trine Enchanted Edition, Trine 2: Complete Story, Trine 3: Artifacts of Power, and Trine 4: Definitive Edition.

Each of the playable characters has their own unique abilities. For example, the Knight is able to deal physical damage to terrain and enemies, and the Thief can use her bow and grapple to move around quickly, while the Wizard can conjure items to help the team progress through the platforming world.

Thanks to the physics-based levels, players are able to make up their own solutions to the puzzles that the game throws at them. As the installments progressed, more and more features have been added to the experience too, including upgraded combat, skill trees, and more puzzle-solving methods.

All of the games in the collection can be played solo or in co-op with up to three players (four in the fourth entry). Moreover, both local and online play are supported. The only game missing from this collection is Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy, the latest entry that released in 2023.

The Trine Classic Collection giveaway is live on the Epic Games Store for the next 24 hours. The special holiday promotion still has a few days left on it before going away. The upcoming mystery freebie will reveal itself and unlock for all PC gamers at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET, December 31. The store might be preparing a big giveaway to mark the arrival of the new year.

So far, the store"s offer has given away Hogwarts Legacy, Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel, Eternights, Blood West, Sorry We"re Closed, Paradise Killer, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, The Callisto Protocol, Disco Elysium - The Final Cut, We Were Here Together, Cassette Beasts, SKALD: Against the Black Priory, and Viewfinder to keep for PC gamers.
