Google's Audio Overviews are now more comprehensive after the latest update

Google"s AI-powered note-taking and research app, NotebookLM, has got a couple of new updates at the start of the week. For starters, the search giant said that the Video Overviews feature is now available in 80 languages globally, putting it in line with Audio Overviews, which already supports all these languages.

Video Overviews were introduced earlier this year at Google I/O 2025. The feature is designed to generate video presentations from the data you feed into NotebookLM. It can pull images, diagrams, quotes, and numbers from your documents and also features AI hosts narrating summaries in a natural-sounding voice.

The feature was previously limited to English, but now, you can generate Video Overviews in languages like French, German, Greek, Portuguese, Japanese, Spanish, and others. "Non-English Audio Overviews will now mirror the rich, detailed experience of the English version, providing a more thorough discussion of your sources in all of the supported languages," Google said in a blog post.

Google added that it"s also bringing significant upgrades to the Audio Overviews feature in NotebookLM, making them more comprehensive and in-depth. NotebookLM can now generate full-length Audio Overviews in over 80 non-English languages already supported by the tool.

Previously limited to the English language only, the AI note-taking app can generate complete, connected discussions instead of just quick highlights. You can still generate shorter overviews if you want to. These two features in NotebookLM have started rolling out and will be available to all users globally over the coming weeks.

In your free time, you can check out the featured collection of notebooks Google launched for NotebookLM last month, offering advice on how to build a life, predictions for 2025, and more. Google also put up a public notebook discussing the launch of its Pixel 10 series, Pixel 10 Pro Fold, Pixel Buds 2a, and Pixel Watch 4.
