Grammarly set to arrive on Samsung Keyboard in November [Update]

Grammarly has formed a partnership with Samsung to bring its writing checking tool to Samsung Keyboard in November. The Grammarly integration will be available on the keyboard in OneUI 4.0 or above and it will check the user’s grammar, punctuation, vocabulary, conciseness and provide other suggestions. Initially, Grammarly will come to the Samsung Galaxy S21 before arriving on other devices later on.

The Grammarly integration promises not to be burdensome, there will be no app to install and it won"t display intrusive behaviour. Any corrections that Grammarly wants to alert you to will appear in the quick correction strip above the keyboard. It will help you avoid sending embarrassing messages on instant messenger apps and for those times when you need to type long emails, it will make you sound more professional.

As a part of the arrangement, Grammarly will offer qualified Samsung users a free 90-day trial of Grammarly Premium. While a free account looks out for spelling, grammar and punctuation mistakes, the premium subscription unlocks clarity-focused sentence rewrites, tone adjustments, inclusive language, word choice, formality level, fluency and additional advanced suggestions. When your trial runs out, you can continue your premium membership by paying or letting the account lapse over into a free account.

If you’ve never used Grammarly and are wondering about its background, the service currently helps 30 million people and 30,000 teams look out for mistakes in their work. If you want to use the service on other devices you can head to the Grammarly website to download browser extensions and desktop apps.

Update: Altered the article to reflect that Grammarly will arrive on Samsung Keyboard sometime in November rather than specifically on November 15.
