I have been using an Apple Watch for over seven years, and during that time, the standard silicone strap has been my go-to. Universal, easy to clean, and free—what"s not to love? However, more premium metal bracelets also sometimes appear on my wrist for a more classy look. Therefore, when Aulumu offered to try their latest titanium bracelets, I decided to give them a try.
The Aulumu C01 is a high-end link bracelet made from a titanium alloy, making it significantly lighter than typical stainless steel or other metal bracelets. Aulumu claims it has four times the strength of “regular metal,” though the exact comparison isn’t specified. The C01 comes in two finishes: Natural Titanium and Black Titanium. I tested mine with a Jet Black Apple Watch Series 11, and a combination of polished metal with matte titanium looks quite stylish if you ask me.
The bracelet is well-made. Each link is quite precise, and overall, they create a premium-looking accessory. While titanium is generally softer and less scratch-resistant than stainless steel, the C01 features a diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating, which improves scratch and wear resistance. After a couple of weeks of use, my C01 still looks virtually new. The best part is that the bracelet weighs only 63 grams, which makes it less noticeable in daily use.
The clasp combines two securing methods: strong N52 magnets and a metal locking mechanism that automatically clicks into place when the two ends meet. The system is quick, though it takes a few attempts to get used to one-handed operation, especially if you prefer a tighter fit. Pressing the two side-mounted buttons releases the clasp—hold them with two fingers, and the bracelet comes off your wrist. Just be careful not to drop it.
The bracelet fits wrists from 145 to 225 mm in circumference. It ships with all links attached, so most users will need to adjust it. On the official website, Aulumu states that an adjustment tool is included, but mine arrived without one, so I had to improvise. Adjusting the bracelet is straightforward: push out the connecting rods, remove the required number of links, and reinsert the rods. Rods sit very tightly, and removing/inserting them without a tool or a mallet is nearly impossible. Given the premium materials and construction, I recommend having it adjusted by a professional watchmaker if you lack the right equipment.

At $199.99, the Aulumu C01 is expensive for a watch band, though still considerably cheaper than Apple’s official stainless steel bracelets. While aesthetics and material choice are subjective, titanium feels more comfortable for extended wear due to its lighter weight. Final thing worth noting is that the C01 is only compatible with larger Apple Watch models: the Apple Watch Ultra (all models) and 42–46 mm Apple Watch sizes. Smaller Apple Watch models are not supported.
Unlike more universal silicone bands, the Aulumu C01 has a narrower use case. Running or working out with it is less comfortable, but for daily use and a more classy look, it is certainly a good pick. Speaking of comfort, I never noticed any caught hair between links, so no complaints here (make sure to adjust it properly).
For those who prefer a more utilitarian design or cannot justify a $199.99 band, Aulumu offers the C03 fabric strap. It uses a quick-release mechanism made of titanium and magnets, plus a Velcro strap. While the C03 is well-made, lightweight, and adjustable, it is definitely an acquired taste.
Although the C03 has better adjustability than the C01, I am not a fan of its bulkiness, and if you ask me, it looks way too odd even on a wide wrist. For $59.98, the C03 is a comfortable, well-made, and adjustable strap, but I can only recommend it for outdoor activities when you need a comfortable and reliable band. In daily use, it simply looks too awkward. And just like the C01, the C03 is not compatible with smaller Apple Watch models. Tough luck if yours is 41 mm or smaller.
