A couple of months ago, Robbie Khan reviewed the GameSir G7 Pro, a high-end Xbox-certified controller with great features and a decent price tag, praising its premium fit and finish, TMR sticks, optical buttons, and customizations. Later on, GameSir released a special Wuchang: Fallen Feathers edition, and today, we take a closer look at this unique-looking gamepad.
Note: GameSir provided the review sample without any editorial input or pre-approvals.
I am not going to talk about the main features of the controller, as you can read about them in Robbie"s review. Instead, I am offering a look at the unique design of the gamepad. And even though Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is not my kind of game, I always appreciate unique and great-looking controllers (still miss my Forza Horizon 5 Special Edition Xbox Wireless Controller).
The controller comes in a big box with a quality print around it. Inside, you find the gamepad, two extra D-pads, a Wuchang: Fallen Feathers zinc alloy keyring (a hefty one), a very thick and long braided USB-C cable with matching colors, a dock, a sticker with a GameSir logo, and a code for one month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Given the price of the latter and the gamepad itself, I would say you get a pretty good deal. Yes, at $99.99, this controller is not cheap, but the price gets offset by the new $29.99 cost of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
The gamepad is made of deep turquoise plastic with a rubberized, diamond-shaped texture on the back of each grip. The front of the grips is made of layered UV resin textures (it is not just a print over regular plastic), and you can feel each feather as you hold the gamepad.

The front plate and grips are removable. They are secured with magnets, and the construction overall is very sturdy without any rattling or squeaking. The controller feels dense and well-made. Underneath the front faceplate and grips, you will find a translucent plastic shell that lets you peek inside the gamepad. Here you can also swap the gold-colored D-pad. Blue and gold match very nicely, and they create a really nice-looking combination that does not look tasteless or kitsch.

The charging dock has the same color scheme and the game"s logo above the bright blue LED strip that indicates charging. You can connect the charging dock to your computer and use it as a hub for the USB dongle. The cable itself is very thick with quite long connectors.
Other than unique looks, a different USB cable and the game-themed keychain, the GameSir G7 Pro Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is the same as its "regular" sibling. This controller has the same tri-mode connectivity (wired for Xbox consoles and wireless for PC or Android, sadly, no iOS support), 1000Hz polling rate, TMR sticks, analog Hall Effect triggers, four extra customizable buttons, trigger locks, and optical micro switches for ABXY buttons. It proved to be a very good gaming accessory, and if you are into looks like these, you will like this special edition even more.
If you are a fan of Wuchang: Fallen Feathers or just want a fantastic controller with a unique design, you can preorder the controller on GameSir"s official website for $99.99. But those who want to save a bit or a controller with a more conventional look, the regular G7 Pro is available for $20 less on Amazon.
Now, GameSir, can I have one for the upcoming Forza Horizon 6, please?
