HTC's Desire 530 lands at Verizon Wireless for only $144

HTC launched the Desire 530 back in February at Mobile World Congress - alongside the Desire 630 and 825 - but the device didn"t show up in the United States until July. It was promised in an unlocked model from HTC.com, as well as carrier-locked models from T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless.

Today, Verizon has opened up pre-orders for the phone for just $144. The price can be compared to the T-Mobile model - which is $159.99 - or the $179 unlocked model.

$144 is a budget-friendly price, but Verizon has a payment plan available as well. For $6 per month for 24 months, the phone can be yours. The carrier"s website doesn"t offer any color options when purchasing the device, but its promotional images clearly show a white model and a "Blue Lagoon" model. The blue model is exclusive to Verizon, but it"s worth noting that the "Stratus White" model doesn"t show up on T-Mobile"s listing and isn"t available for the unlocked model.

You can pre-order the HTC Desire 530 right now, but you"ll receive it on August 11. We"re in the process of reviewing the device, but until we do, you can check out our first impressions.
