Introducing: ZapMessenger

Have you ever had a reaccuring error with MSN Messenger or Windows Live Messenger? Have you tried to uninstall and repair your installation, and still get the same error? Well it"s probably because the uninstaller doesn"t completely uninstall the files, registry, and .dll files that Messenger leaves behind. Or you could become one of many that encounter a problem in which Messenger can"t be uninstalled because some .MSI files are missing (Catastrophic failure (0x8000ffff)).

Jonathan Kay, Microsoft MVP and Associate Expert, has created a program that will completely uninstall MSN Messenger, Windows Live Messenger, and Windows Messenger 5.x.

Common Questions

Will this remove any of my personal customizations – emoticons, display pictures, etc.?
No, currently ZapMessenger deals with the application itself – your personal data will remain and won"t be touched. I am considering adding this an option to future releases for those looking to do a complete "clean" install.

I get a ".NET Framework Initialization Error" or "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click on OK to terminate the application" when I run ZapMessenger.
You"ll need to install at least the 2.0 .NET Framework on your machine. (Link Below)
