Machinarium and Make Way are free to claim on the Epic Games Store

The Epic Games Store"s freebie offer is back with another refresh. Last week"s promotion that included Kamaeru: A Frog Refuge and Strange Horticulture has now run out, and to replace it, copies of Machinarium and Make Way have dropped in for PC gamers to claim. As always, you have seven days to add the latest games permanently to your Epic Games Store"s library.

Machinarium is from the developer Amanita Design, which has basically given away its entire portfolio now on the Epic Games Store. This title is also a point-and-click adventure that has you taking the role of a small robot living in a rusting robot city. After being thrown into a scrapyard, the story has him traveling to the town to save his robot girlfriend and ruin the kidnapping plans of the Black Cap Brotherhood gang.

While there isn"t any dialogue, characters communicate via thought bubbles. Each level consists of a puzzle that the player must solve to go to the next scene, all delivered via visual clues. There are logical puzzles, adventure quests, brain teasers, and mini-games, according to the developer.

Next arrives Make Way. This is a fast-paced multiplayer racing game played from a top-down perspective. The arcade party-game experience has racers going through various types of wacky tracks while avoiding hazards and claiming boosts. However, the twist is that the players themselves build the track before races.

"Quickly build tracks using a range of ridiculous pieces, including loops, seesaws, corkscrews, and even train crossings," says the developer Ice BEAM. "Ruin your friends’ race with a well-placed barrier or jettison them off the side of a curve with a crafty boost-pad."

The Machinarium and Make Way giveaways on the Epic Games Store are active right now, and they will last until September 4. PC gamers can add the duo to their library for no cost during the seven-day timeframe before the next freebies arrive. It has also been revealed that The Battle of Polytopia will be a part of the next giveaway.
