Today at Meta Connect 2025, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg unveiled the Meta Ray-Ban Display and Meta Neural Band. As the name implies, the Meta Ray-Ban Display includes a private display integrated into the right lens of the glasses, and it appears when you need it and hides when you don"t.
This new in-lens display will allow users to easily read messages, preview photos, make better use of Meta AI, and more. Meta claims that this display is placed off to the side to prevent it from obstructing the user"s view. Here are the full technical specifications of the display:
- Monocular display
- Field of view: 20 degrees
- Resolution: 600 x 600 pixels
- Pixels per degree: 42
- Display refresh rate: 90 HZ max (content refresh at 30 HZ)
- Display brightness: 30-5,000 nits
Apart from the display, the other main component of the Meta Ray-Ban Display is the Meta Neural Band. The Meta Neural Band is an EMG wristband that can convert the signals created by muscle activity into commands for the Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses. This allows users to control their glasses without voice or in-camera hand gestures.
You can use this band to silently scroll and click through content. Soon, the Meta Neural Band will even allow you to write out messages using subtle finger movements. The Meta Neural Band comes with up to 18 hours of battery life and an IPX7 water rating for better durability. Finally, it comes in two colors: Black and Sand, matching the Meta Ray-Ban Display.
The Meta Ray-Ban Display also features a 6-mic array and open-ear speakers with Bluetooth connectivity for a seamless video calling experience. The 12MP camera with 3X zoom will allow users to capture better photos and videos. Meta claims that these AI glasses will last up to 6 hours of continuous mixed-use battery life on a single charge.
Users will be able to get up to 24 hours of battery life out of these AI glasses with the new foldable charging case. It comes with 32 GB flash storage and 2 GB LPDDR4x RAM for smooth performance.
The Meta Ray-Ban Display, which includes both the glasses and the Meta Neural Band, will cost $799. It will be available from September 30 in the US from popular retail stores including Best Buy, LensCrafters, Sunglass Hut, and Ray-Ban Stores. Meta is planning to make it available in Canada, France, Italy, and the UK in early 2026.
