AI-generated content is increasing as we speak, whether you like it or not. Meta is trying to leverage to situation with its revamped Meta AI app for Android and iOS. The social media giant has launched a new feed of AI-generated content in the app, calling it Vibes.
The feature currently in early preview is similar to having a TikTok feed, but everything is generated by an AI model. You can create your own AI content from scratch or remix the videos posted by others with new visuals, music layer, and tweak the animation style to your preference.
"Vibes is designed to make it easier to find creative inspiration and experiment with Meta AI’s media tools. As you browse, you’ll see a range of AI-generated videos from creators and communities," Meta said.
You can access the Vibes feed by tapping on the compass icon in the bottom right corner of the screen. The user interface is similar to what you see on Reels, with buttons to Like, Remix, Comment, and Share a video vertically laid out along the right edge.
You can rate a video as "Good" or "Bad" by tapping the three-dot menu button in the bottom-right corner. While it"s not possible to search for creators right now, you can tap on their name to open their respective profile page and watch other videos they have posted.
Vibes also displays the text prompts used to create the AI videos in the description, and you can access these AI videos from a desktop as well. You will be able to share your AI video in the Vibes feed, DM it to your friends, or cross-post on Instagram, Facebook Stories, and Reels.
Meta said that the Vibes video feed will become more personalized as you watch videos over time and create your own. Speaking of which, Instagram announced a new feature that lets you control your recommendation algorithm for Reels and other areas of the app. The company kept its lips tight about when Vibes will get out of the preview phase.
